Business Insider and SurveyMonkey wanted to know how Gen Z spends their time and money on the internet and in food chain stores and more.
In a recent survey of 1,884 users between the ages of 13 and 21, almost 30% of respondents voted for Facebook when asked about the social media app they actively used but have now abandoned. Some people also said they still check the Facebook feed daily.
Teenagers these days probably prefer YouTube and Snapchat to Facebook.
Detailed survey analysis
According to the Business Insider survey, almost 30% of people answered that they spend time on Facebook but not anymore, on the other hand, 29.7% of people answered with the Kik app and many more have voted to stop using Skype, 21% of people voted for Twitter or 20.3 for Instagram.
Although at the same time, the survey also analyzed that teenagers still check Facebook and Instagram from time to time.
When people were asked what type of social apps they used daily, 64.59% of votes were for Instagram, 62.48% of people voted for YouTube, and Snapchat was the third most used app with 51 .31% of votes, 34.19% of people voted for Facebook. .
If we analyze it all together, the majority of Gen Z use YouTube and Snapchat on a daily basis and very few people have abandoned these apps compared to Facebook and Instagram.
Survey results by Pew and Research Center
Last May, the Pew Research Center conducted a similar survey and according to them, only 51% of American young adults between the ages of 13 and 17 use Facebook, while 85% use YouTube, 72% use Instagram and 69% use Snapchat.
