OLB Group Adds Payments Via Social Media Apps To Its Gateway – Digital Transactions

Payment provider The OLB Group Inc. announced on Tuesday that its SecurePay payment gateway will support accepting payments through social media apps without requiring consumers to exit the app.

To enable payments through applications such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, TikTok and Skype, OLB uses the application programming interfaces of social media platforms to connect its gateway. Direct connection allows consumers to enter their payment information through the app without having to exit the app. The authorization of the transaction is sent back to the merchants through the app.

“We want to give merchants the possibility of accepting any form of payment [that consumers want to use] and that makes it easier to sell within social media applications, ”said Ronny Yakov, general manager of the OLB.

The decision to support payments through these apps is part of OLB’s overall strategy to offer merchants a broader portfolio of alternatives to help them run their business, as well as accept payments.
