Hundreds of Facebook users have reported outages as the social networking site appears to be down.
There have been 346 reports of Facebook outages in the past 24 hours, according to Down Detector, as well as hundreds on Instagram.
Many have taken to Twitter to report their problems – with photos from Facebook’s website showing an error message saying “sorry, something went wrong.”
The error message adds, âWe are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. ”
One user tweeted: #Facebook is off. Now I have to do a real job. “
Another frustrated user said, âUgh, #facebookdown more often than up. I have time to waste! ”
This is the second time in a few weeks that the site has gone down.
Users reported on November 19 that Facebook and Instagram were down – the issues continuing to plague tech companies.
According to DownDetector, thousands of people had issues with social media sites.
The WhatsApp messaging app was also reportedly affected.
Social media giant Facebook changed its name to Meta as part of a major rebranding.
He’s aiming to broaden his horizons with moves in industries like VR (virtual reality) and CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg believes the name change will better reflect that.
Mr Zuckerberg said the existing brand could “perhaps not represent everything we do today, let alone in the future” – hence the rebranding.
